Richelle Overton, BS, is the Research and Outreach Coordinator with the Peace of Mind Foundation. Her current research work with POM focuses on topics such as OCD education and decreasing the gap between proper diagnosis and proper treatment. Richelle has two years of experience working with and conducting research within the OCD community. Richelle is a member of the International Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder Foundation and the APA-Law Society. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Forensic Psychology at University of Houston – Victoria and hopes to continue her education with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. Long-term, she is interested in working within the criminal justice system along with assessing competency to stand trial and insanity defenses, with a particular interest in risk assessment.
